To have returned to Normandy after 70 years is indescribable… I shall cherish and treasure the memories of this trip for the rest of my life.

On June 6, 1944, the greatest military invasion in history commenced on the northwestern shores of France – the Allied Invasion and Liberation of France from Nazi Germany during World War II. Now known as D-Day, this event marked the beginning of the end of Adolf Hitler’s oppressive regime.

In 2014, to commemorate the 70th anniversary of this epic event, Music Celebrations International established a series of enormously successful musical performances in Paris, Normandy, and Washington, D.C. to memorialize the men and women who served, fought, and gave their lives during that pivotal moment in human history.

In the wake of the 70th anniversary events, an increased demand for further musical commemorations led to an established set of annual concerts conceived to continue remembering these heroes through music – and to celebrate the many freedoms enjoyed by the world today.
